From the gesticulation that some candidates have shown, the antics to the ostentatious exposure of a surprising negligence, some have missed the opportunity to be silent, and yet, silence is a communication, as the Chinese, saying goes “If what you have to say is not more beautiful than silence, then shut up”.
We will have seen everything since the beginning of this campaign. It is not the activists who are scary, but the candidates, so many are not to have the minimum to lead a country like Cameroon. It starts with the gesture already. The camera is ruthless and always scrutinizes the unpredictable plans, when our dear candidates let themselves go, or when they try to chase the natural returning galloping. Excesses are not controlled, slippages in language are customary, do not speak of violent insults ginned in jingles. We have seen candidates who instead of bringing hope, crisscross the places of events with a ridiculous football ball carried by hand that seems to symbolize the key that will open the doors of the future of Cameroon.
We saw a candidate driving a sedan on a rocky and impractical terrain, the only chance for him to be noticed, or so, strategy to beg for a 4×4 vehicle, the vehicle in spare parts having given way to the end of the visit. It has also been noted the tremendous promises of candidates, when a promise to build roads connecting all departments of Cameroon, the other promises a minimum wage of 160,000 francs, and the drop of water overflowing the vase is the prospect of a defense force employment doctrine that would be implied by a candidate who had to arrange at random, some military terms and concepts that, taken out of context, expose the editor to ridicule. It is true that the phenotype does not make the man, but the gesticulations of the candidates, their lack of holding and reserve all lend themselves to some worries.
The nightmare arises when candidates feed the violence and instead of wishing their victory, they already foresee special effects and stir disputes that they presage already boiling. It is obvious that these futureless of the disaster are built on the embryo of a subversion, starting from a hypnotic prestidigitation. However, we know the devastating effects of such a posture that falls into the vicious circle of electoral escalation in Africa, and ends with dead on the pavement.
It is in front of the conjugation of the inconsistency and the immaturity that the imperium of the head of the State Paul Biya appeared, different from the gesticulation and the gestural amplitude, weighted and inspiring a reassuring wisdom. No word shifted to his adversaries, other than plans for the future of Cameroon, words of compassion for the misfortunes that hit certain areas, and pride for the resilience of Cameroon. An attitude of high flight, which contrasts with those for the least suspicious candidates who, in addition to not knowing much about political science give an air of clowning to this campaign. In the end, that the 7 of October arrives quickly, so that the nightmare stops.
